Memorial Service and Monument Dedication


On October 23, 1996 at 10:00 AM in San Diego, California, a memorial monument was dedicated to U.S. Seventh Fleet Task Unit 77.4.3 for their action against the Imperial Japanese Navy during the Battle Off Samar.

This memorial monument, long past due, has placed the men, ships, and composite squadrons of TU 77.4.3 in their justly deserved place in history.
