SUZUYA was heavily damaged on 25 October 1944 during the Battle Off Samar by aircraft of TU 77.4.3 and 77.4.2. Scuttled same day by HIJMS OKINAMI. KUMANO was torpedoed on 25 October 1944 during the Battle Off Samar by TU 77.4.3 DD JOHNSTON. On 26 October she was heavily damaged by aircraft of TF 38. She was sunk on 25 November 1944 by aircraft of USS TICONDEROGA. |
